Each farmstand, maker, or vendor operates independently and is responsible for their own products, practices, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.

Homestead Indiana does not verify or conduct background checks on listed individuals or entities. Inclusion on our map or platform does not imply endorsement, certification, or background clearance by Homestead Indiana.

While Homestead Indiana does not actively vet participants, we maintain a community standard that values:

Ethical and lawful behavior

Respectful engagement with consumers and peers

Transparency in product representation and business practices

Safe, family-friendly environments

Any merchant or user found to be engaging in illegal, harmful, or deceptive conduct may be subject to removal from the platform at Homestead Indiana’s discretion.

Reports will be reviewed internally. While Homestead Indiana is not a law enforcement agency, we reserve the right to suspend or remove listings that conflict with our values or pose a risk to community safety.

Homestead Indiana makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or legality of any listing.

We are not liable for any interactions, transactions, or disputes that occur between users, merchants, or third parties.

Consumers are encouraged to perform their own due diligence before engaging in business or personal interaction with any listed party.

Homestead Indiana exists to uplift local producers and provide visibility to honest, hardworking Hoosiers who contribute to their communities. We are committed to maintaining transparency and accountability in all that we do, while also respecting the independence of the individuals and businesses represented on our platform.

By accessing or using the Homestead Indiana website, mobile app, or any of its services (collectively, the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and our Platform Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

Guarantee the accuracy of listings, or

Verify the identity, background, or criminal history of any user or merchant.

Inclusion on the Platform does not represent an endorsement or certification by Homestead Indiana.

To use the Platform, you must:

Be at least 18 years old (or have parental consent),

Agree to comply with all applicable laws, and

Provide accurate information when creating or managing a listing.

Homestead Indiana reserves the right to remove or suspend any user or listing at its discretion, including for violations of these Terms or the Platform Policy.

Users agree not to:

Post false, misleading, or deceptive information;

Engage in harassment, discrimination, or harmful behavior;

Upload or distribute content that violates any law, infringes intellectual property, or contains malware;

Use the Platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes; or

Impersonate another individual or entity.

Homestead Indiana may suspend or remove any listing or user that violates these terms without prior notice.

All listings and related content (photos, logos, etc.) are submitted and maintained by the user or merchant. You retain ownership of your content but grant Homestead Indiana a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, promote, and share your listing on the Platform and affiliated media channels.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your listing content complies with all applicable laws and does not infringe on the rights of others.

Homestead Indiana is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Platform or any listings.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Homestead Indiana and its affiliates are not liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the use of the Platform;

Users assume full responsibility for all interactions and transactions with listed businesses or individuals;

Consumers are encouraged to perform their own due diligence before engaging with any merchant.

Homestead Indiana expressly disclaims responsibility for the actions, behavior, or background of any listed user or entity.

If you have concerns about a listing, user, or merchant, you may contact Homestead Indiana at HOMESTEADINDIANAMAP@GMAIL.COM. We will review the information and may take action consistent with our Platform Policy.

Homestead Indiana is not a law enforcement agency. Illegal activity should be reported directly to local authorities.

Homestead Indiana may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to:

Violations of these Terms or our Platform Policy;

Fraudulent, misleading, or harmful activity;

Actions that compromise the safety, reputation, or integrity of the Platform or its users; or

Discovery or disclosure of prior criminal convictions involving violence, abuse, fraud, or other offenses deemed incompatible with Homestead Indiana’s community standards.

Homestead Indiana reserves the sole right to determine whether a conviction or conduct is inconsistent with the values and safety of our community.

Users may also request removal of their listing at any time by contacting us directly.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
